In a world similar to modern-day Earth, dragons, fairies, and other magic creatures co-exist with regular humans. The non-magical generally don’t tangle with the mystical because, well, people get eaten.
When Ashwyn the dragon receives a human baby to care for, her life fills with diapers, bottles, tiny clothes, and a sudden urge to eat delivery people.
The easiest avenue to a peaceful life is to swallow the baby. Yet Ashwyn changes her mind daily. If she eats the baby, she breaks the Peace Pacts and the human world turns against her. If she doesn’t eat the baby, she loses her boyfriend, her career, and the magical world turns against her.
